Ready to work in international contexts

However globalised the world is, or is becoming, we are divided by our cultural differences, our traditions, our beliefs and our perspective of the world around us. How then can someone understand cultures sufficiently to transcend borders?

Is it possible to immerse yourself fully in a world so far removed from your own and learn to understand it? Can we hope to become an international business person, a world leader, for example, and for cultural diversity not to be an obstacle?

Coding for a new digital paradigm

“I have this great idea, but I don’t know how to build it.” Sounds familiar, right? Immediately after that sentence, you will most certainly hear “I need to find a developer”. But you know what? Most entrepreneurs never find that developer.

Ironhack was conceived to help entrepreneurs and business leaders quickly learn to code by squeezing “2 years of learning into 2 months”.

My ESADE MSc Journey!

Before coming to ESADE I had never thought that it was possible to create so many memories in such a short span of time. The following article is an account of a few special moments picked out of an ocean of memories. With a lot of enthusiasm and some apprehensions, on August 26th, 2016 I started my ESADE journey from New Delhi, India.

Barceloneta Beach

To truly submerge myself in the Catalan traditions and attain a conversational level of Spanish, I decided to live with a local Spanish family that didn’t speak any English whatsoever. When I landed in Barcelona, all the Spanish I could speak was “Me llamo Chhavi. Soy de India.” (My name is Chhavi. I’m from India.) Read the rest of this entry »

eDreams – Native Digital Companies

We are all familiar with native digital companies like eDreams, the Spanish on-line travel specialist.

However, native digital companies work differently than normal companies. There, you are not going to find product managers but product owners. Project Management is basically SCRUM and you cannot meet your clients but you know a lot about them.

Digital experiments is the tool for taking decisions and personalization is the name of the game.

Here you can find the interview ith Manuel Bruscas, Director of Analytics and Insights at eDreams ODIGEO, where we talk about the differences between native and non-native digital companies and how both work!

I am sure that you will find it not only very interesting but enlightening!

Campus visit to Lingnan (University) College, Guangzhou (China)

Guangzhou, like many tropical cities, looks to be constantly on the verge of being reclaimed by the lush green vegetation growing everywhere. The ride to the campus is beautiful, and only surpassed by the beauty of the campus itself, which combines century old red brick buildings with occasional flashes of modern buildings.

Students and visitors roam everywhere, walking, biking, or on funky one-wheeled electric bikes. I wasn’t the only one taking pictures, and it seemed that the campus was a prime destination for its aesthetics.
