The Profession in Action Sales experience in Madrid and Barcelona has been very insightful. Being able to meet professionals and companies of very diverse industries has helped us better grasp the different atmospheres and specificities of various sectors.
Indeed, we have visited companies ranging from global fast moving consumer goods MNCs such as Coca Cola and L’Oréal to tech startups at the Barcelona Tech City.
Some companies had us involved in concrete actual case studies to have our views and input on challenges they are currently facing. Some group work and negotiations were also organized with feedback from the company.
We also benefited from more recreational activities such as going through Barcelona’s Nike story with Nike Iberia’s Marketing director, visiting the different retailers and understanding the strategy behind them. At Egisa, a luxury packaging SME, we had the chance of having a guided tour through the factory and discovered the packaging process as well as interacted with factory workers.
Gaining an internal insight is very helpful for us to make up our minds for our job applications and moreover enable us to network with key individuals.
The fact that a good number of ESADE alumni are currently working in some of the companies that we have visited such as L’Oréal, Unibail Rodamco, Wanup or Schibsted also increased the relevance of conversations.
