As part of the MSc Programme, students at ESADE had the opportunity to go on a study tour – of which there were several to choose from. The study tours had various contents and locations – and the Profession in Action study tour to Madrid and Barcelona was one of these. This trip had a more professional focus, and aimed at allowing students to get insights into the daily tasks and lives of Marketing Managers across different fields and industries – such as FMCG, IT, Pharma, Teleservice.
The trip started with three days in Barcelona, followed by two days in Madrid. where we visited a total of 14 different organizations. Some of the companies included: Nestlé, L’Oréal, Havas Media, Ajuntament de Barcelona, Unilever, Repsol, Mahou/San Miguel.
The week was filled with great visits, and the tour gave us, as students, a unique opportunity to explore our interest in commencing a career in brand management or communications – and to network and gain direct contact with key professionals in marketing.
Overall, it was an insightful, intensive, and overall enjoyable trip – and we would highly recommend it to next year’s MSc students!
